New Principal Euphonium!
Fulham Brass Band is pleased to announce the signing of Jonti Smith. Jonti started playing the tenor when he was seven years old, before being promoted to euphonium several years later. While at school Jonti became a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain, conducted by Bramwell Tovey, and the European Youth Brass Band.
Jonti studied Music and the University of Manchester, receiving tution from Bill Miller and Dave Thornton, whilst focusing his studies on musicology and analysis. During his years in Manchester Jonti played with the Rothwell Temperance Band, Leyland Band, Fairey Band and Tubular Brass.
Having moved to London in March 2017, Jonti is delighted to have joined Fulham Brass.
Fulham welcomes Jonti and looks forward to what the future holds! Come and see Jonti and the rest of the band play on 21st May in our concert with James Fountain (Principal Trumpet of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra).
