The band is delighted to announce that is part of a major theatre production in London’s Royal Court Theatre in Sloane Square, running from now until Saturday 11 August.
Pity is the brain child of award-winning playwright, Rory Mullarky, and he provides an intriguing synopsis…..
A normal day.
A person stands in the market square watching the world go by.
What happens next verges on the ridiculous.
There’s ice cream. Sunshine. Shops. Some dogs. A wedding. Bombs. Candles. Blood. Lightning. Sandwiches. Snipers. Looting. Gunshots. Babies. Actors. Azaleas. Famine. Fountains. Statues. Atrocities.
And tanks. (Probably).
This new play asks whether things really are getting worse. And if we care.
The band is a central part of both the normality and madness in the story and will appear in over 30 performances at this prestigious venue. Band Manager, Jonathan Barker said: “This is a huge undertaking for the band, but a really exciting one! The production is a fantastic one and we’re so proud to be involved.”
